We are explorers, figuring this out in dusky unchartered territory
I see my watch can’t even keep up with this ever changing story
It’s like the warp effect of crypto’s intense pace
Has affected my calibration for time and space
It used to be in my life that just one thing happened at a time
But since ‘17 there’s a constant must see movie in the making of an epic kind
I don’t mean the flippening or FUD, the airdrops or buy now dip
I mean the base layer stuff, removing aged cultural chaff with a rip
Where a dictator now wields a weapon that happens to turn greed into freedom
Catalyzing the spread of powerful ideas for prosperity in that kingdom.
That’s almost as exciting as the scene with the Yacht Club mix
Where Mutant apes and Bored Apes get destroyed by apocalyptics
Only to all retire together at the elderly ape academy
And watch hours of desperate apewives on ape tnt
You’re smiling but those are serious projects worth millions y
Don’t you lecture me about P/E ratios, V8s and big military weapons
See, rules change either subtly or swiftly with each generation
And this time the mode and motivation arrived in conjunction
The young padawan degens came to find the spoils had been taken
So they released their Shibs and their glib to fix the situation
And for those who rely on the puppet strings of the commanding heights
Be warned the tools for disruption have emerged and they my friends are ripe
Earnestness is a homing beacon, when you know something is near
At first a glimpse of the possible only later do you see it clear
The great world explorers, like some here with us tonight
know this well, you have to sacrifice and strive when you know it might
Just might, make all of the difference for those who come along the road
When for themselves they are writing their create a meaningful life code
The big connector tool was just a megaphone but now it’s a saw
With ownership, impact, consequence and of course the great taw
And just like history culminating to find its courageous to hew
Like those who tested limits of sea, land and sky, in this moment it now finds you

So take a mallet and break a bank into clear transparent legos
Accessible, open, immutable and free of graftable ethos
Find the charitable cause that your heart truly longs for
And have the confidence that your gift arrives at the right door
Make a city or start a DAO and show the world exactly how
You can actually do something about it instead of just bow wow wow
Change the power grid, flatten the cell phone empire
Become the 15 year old millionaire by minting your satire
New keys new doors
Re-engineer that monster that is software still devouring the world
And in so doing let the open flag of anything is possible wildly unfurl
The pernicious cause of wealth gap is
whether or not you have access to yield
Best to start rich and rest assured around your deals, walls we will build
Who were the masses of retail who made millions on web 1 and web 2,
Controlling the spigot of wealth is an old tradition, for wealth is meant for just a few

Join the global economy through a guild that can improve your situation
Architect the mesh of space and raise the fidelity of your station
Flip on a node or build a business on a platform that will not change the tools
Will not exclude you for worn out selfish hoarding based rules
It’s been a fine tuned machine designed to give more to those who need it least
Train a monkey to maximize and you occasionally end up with a beast
Those who are calcified by what pacifies have written the end of their own chapter
But something larger, more inclusive, both meritorious and equal is what we are after

And the explosion of art means the pre amble is already underway
It’s hodled in your nifty wings and attached to your NFT sleigh
And I don’t care by the way whether or not you even own an NFT,
You play your part, where you add, something, birth the thing meant to be
Besides, you are an icon, on an unbroken chain of artistic genius
Connecting you purely and immutably to the origin of all life, the most coveted provenance
(yo FOMO we’re good!)
The art of which I speak isn’t the propagandists blunt instrument, the kind sung with coercion
But that baptism when you feel connected with self, other, and nature full immersion
When you see something for the first time or learn
What really is or isn’t or what makes your soul burn
The kind of art that conveys no advantage or power
The kind whose gifts are found only in the truth and freedom tower (freedom is knowing what is false)
Art has always been emblazoned over the passage of a new era
It’s the omen, the inspiration, the stone, the seer and the revelator

And being an explorer is a guarantee of pain, , we all know that
at times we are bound to be wrong, bound to need help, that is a fact
But know we come fully equipped with the peace that we need
Especially when our heart is on the floor and all that seems left to do is just bleed
So wield your ice pick and compass and come with me
Buckle up and don the explorers confidence and glee
And know that going out is coming home.
Exploration is inextricably tied with home
Home to what matters most, what is worth reaching for and risking for.
Redefining, rewriting or reappreciating what’s already at your core

When these words were penned with strings and keys
Standing there alone the ship is waiting
All systems are go, are you sure?
